Un des symboles principaux pour identifier les pèlerins à Saint Jacques de Compostelle est justement la Coquille Saint Jacques qui apparaît dans les multiples représentations de l’histoire matérielle du pèlerinage. Le logo de la 30ème Conférence de l’ISSR rejoint d’une manière abstraite deux coquilles. La première signifie la confluence des différents participants à la Conférence provenant de toutes les parties du monde. La Conférence est le nœud qui uni la première avec la deuxième, comme le moment même de la réflexion. Justement, c’est à cet instant que surgi la deuxième coquille dans un mouvement de dispersion et de pluralité pour assumer les défis actuels sur lesquels la Conférence travaille.

Spanish language in the conference

Decisions taken by the council concerning the use of the Spanish language at the conference:
  1. There will be a simultaneous translation in Spanish paid by the Local Committee at the Opening session and the two Plenary sessions. The text of the speakers in the plenary sessions will be projected by power point and scrolled down.
  2. The Spanish language may be used in some Thematic Sessions, but we should avoid exclusive Spanish sessions. Indeed, this would not promote interaction with other language groups. Papers presented in Spanish should be accompanied with an English and a French text – at least an extensive summary – projected on a screen and scrolled down during the presentation.
Typing up your proposed paper in spanish
Please follow the rules specified on the-previous page , except as far as the abstracts are concerned
The abstract should be in the language that will be used during the presentation at the conference (200 words maximum), i.e. in Spanish
A shorter summary of your abstract (100 words maximum) in French and English should be added in italics, so that the conveners can evaluate your proposal, if they do not read Spanish, and the participants can understand the topic of your paper when the abstract is on the Web.
 
To promote the scientific exchanges at our conference, we ask authors presenting a paper
in one of the languages of the ISSR conferences (English or French) to bring, if at all possible, an extensive summary in the other language of the ISSR which may be scrolled down by power point,. This would make it easier for participants who are not fluent enough in the language of the speaker to follow her/his arguments. All conference rooms will be equipped with power point.
